To do this first remove the<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Mains power, this could be done at the source, or by simply pulling out the fuse holder located on the Mains block inside the<\/em><br \/>\n<em>M30.<\/em><br \/>\nIt should be noted that the M30 still has power (I.e. The display is still showing information). This is due to the battery back-up<br \/>\ninside the M30. To disconnect the battery back-up simply press the OFF button located on the Power Supply board, as shown<br \/>\nin the diagram below, (N.B. The termination plate needs to be removed before access can be made to the mains block and OFF<br \/>\nbutton).<br \/>\nWhen all power has been removed from the M30, there will be NO input indicators lit and the LCD display will be blank, the<br \/>\nsoftware can now be safely changed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.autodialer-alarm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/m30-diagram-11.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-133\" title=\"M30 Alarm Dialler\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodialer-alarm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/m30-diagram-11.png\" alt=\"M30 Alarm Dialler\" width=\"687\" height=\"393\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autodialer-alarm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/m30-diagram-11.png 687w, https:\/\/www.autodialer-alarm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/m30-diagram-11-300x171.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To obtain access to the software remove the 4 retaining screws shown in the diagram above. The Membrane can now be<br \/>\nremoved from the chassis. (Note: there is a cable that connects the CPU to the Power supply, this does not need to be<br \/>\ndisconnected, but it may be easier to fit the software by removing the cable from the CPU board).<br \/>\nThe software is stored in the EPROM and can be located by a White label clearly showing the current software version.<br \/>\nBelow is an example of an EPROM with the software version M30V40STD8, yours may well be different.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.autodialer-alarm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/eprom-diagram.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-131\" title=\"M30 Software Eprom\" src=\"https:\/\/www.autodialer-alarm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/eprom-diagram-300x92.png\" alt=\"M30 Software Eprom\" width=\"300\" height=\"92\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.autodialer-alarm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/eprom-diagram-300x92.png 300w, https:\/\/www.autodialer-alarm.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/eprom-diagram.png 326w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Before removing the old software, note the direction the small notch at the top of the EPROM is facing. Now using a small<br \/>\nscrewdriver, remove the old software and replace it with the new software, ensuring that the notch is facing in the same<br \/>\ndirection as the old software.<br \/>\nThe M30 can now be put back together, I.e. reconnecting the ribbon cable (if removed), placing the CPU\/membrane back in to<br \/>\nthe chassis, re-inserting the retaining screws. Once done the only thing left to do is reconnect the Mains and allow the M30 to<br \/>\nre-initialise.<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>IMPORTANT: It is absolutely vital that the M30 is now tested for all events. (I.e.
